Picture
Welcome to the Teddy Bear Class.  Hi, my name is Mrs. Janet Coombs, I will be your teacher this coming school year.  My Aide is Mrs. Deborah Singleton. We look forward to working with you & your child here at St. Dominic School.

Our pre-school program is designed to develop basic concepts, attitudes, and skills, as well as to capitalize on each child's propensity to creat.  The development of your child's self-esteem and confidence is most important.  We will be focusing upon these skills: socialization, shape and numeral recognition, language development, following directions, eye-hand coordination, listening, small muscle control, color awareness.  We will establish school routines and rules.  Our readiness activities will mark our entry into the world of colors, and shapes, numbers, and letters.  We will also sing, paint, color and play.  We look forward to sharing a great year with your child!

Birthday Celebrations
We enjoy celebrating birthdays together; however we would like to have similar birthday celebrations for all the children.

We celebrate birthdays during morning snack time. The children will  make muffins in our classroom. You can supply paper plates and napkins.  Please do not ask to bring in a cake or party favors, etc. If you would like, you can donate a book to our class.  We will put your child's name and the year in the book.

If you are planning a party outside the school, invitations should be mailed unless all children are invited.  We do not want to hurt any child's feelings.  We hope you will cooperate with this policy.

Each child will be need a red folder.  The cost is $1.00.
