Lauri Moncla

Lauri Moncla has been the Kindergarten Assistant at St. Dominic Catholic School since August 2018.  She was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.  She was an elementary school special education teacher in Louisiana and Texas early in her career before starting a family.  Mrs. Moncla graduated from the University of Memphis in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.  She is married to Brad and they have three children; Lea (21), Anna (18 and graduate of St. Dominic Catholic School), and Ryan (14 and graduate of St. Dominic Catholic School).  The Monclas live in Colonial Heights near Warriors State Park, and Mrs. Moncla enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing cards.  She likes walking and hiking at Warriors Path.  She also enjoys gardening, boating and spending time with Harley, a lab-retriever mix who can open doors.  She is an active volunteer at St. Dominic Catholic Church and at Dobyns-Bennett High School, where her two youngest children currently attend.
